This year, we‚Äôre competing in: IAM3D Challenge ‚Äì Design and 3D-print a resource excavation rover (global ASME competition). Meets Thursdays, 3:00‚Äì4:00 PM in ET C153 C-UASC ‚Äì Build autonomous drones that navigate waypoints and deliver packages. Meets Thursdays, 3:00‚Äì4:00 PM in ET C153 C-3DPAC ‚Äì Design, fabricate, and test 3D-printed model aircraft. Meets Tuesdays, 4:00‚Äì5:00 PM in ET B108 We also host workshops in CAD, 3D printing, soldering, and SolidWorks, giving members real-world skills, teamwork experience, and preparation for internships and careers.

In accordance with the National Defense Act of 1920 and with the concurrence of The Regents of the University, a unit of the Army Senior Division Reserve Officers‚Äô Training Corps (ROTC) was established on the Los Angeles campus of the University in July 1920. This voluntary training allows students to qualify for an officer‚Äôs commission in the Army while completing their college education. The ROTC curricula are not considered academic majors, but ROTC courses may be taken as free electives and applied toward the total course requirements of a major. The ROTC program is also available through UCLA Extension. Voluntary four-year programs for incoming freshmen, three-year programs for students who apply before the end of their freshman year and two-year programs for incoming transfer students or students who apply before the end of their sophomore year are offered. Both active duty and reserve duty opportunities are offered. Cal State LA Army ROTC will foster Los Angeles ROTC opportunities, outreach, and commodity on campus. This club will offer students a chance to learn about the program, volunteer for various service-realted opportunities, and participate in mentorship program.
